Upon graduating high school, I started working at a non-profit, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfam.org\/\">Oxfam<\/a>, and also assisted my friends with their creative projects on the side. I realized that I felt more connected to the fashion industry than the non-profit world, so I continued assisting and also began modeling with a health-conscious, inclusive agency called <a href=\"https:\/\/wespeakny.com\/\">We Speak NY<\/a>. After about a year of assisting, I got hired to produce and cast for a creative agency in New York. Shortly after leaving that position, I began free-lancing full time. I have an entrepreneurial spirit, and it\u2019s helped me become successful in a very competitive industry at such a young age.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Making Room for Self-Acceptance<\/h3>\n<p>I\u2019ve always recognized that I have both internal and external flaws, and I haven\u2019t always handled them in the healthiest ways. As a result of my depression and anxiety, I\u2019ve had mild <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Body_dysmorphic_disorder\">body dysmorphia<\/a> since I was 13 years old. Thankfully, there are new avenues opening up for models like me, who are considered more \u201cin between\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Redefining Self-Love<\/h3>\n<p>Loving yourself means accepting everything that makes you who you are. Authenticity is being unapologetic about your beliefs and staying true to them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Turning Points<\/h3>\n<p>A major change for me was when I sacrificed my college education to enter the workforce. I wanted to study sociology at UCSB, and instead of spending $60k+ per year and moving to a new state, I decided to take a job opportunity in a similar field. I now know that college is not a necessity for most people, unless you\u2019re studying to become a lawyer, doctor, scientist, or someone of that nature. I\u2019m so relieved that I didn\u2019t spend four years of my time and money on a degree that I would have most likely never used.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>My Self-Care and Skin-Care Routines<\/h3>\n<p>I take naps every day. They\u2019re one of the few ways that I can reset my mind and body and get myself back on track. Meditating, working out, journaling, yoga, and other similar activities help as well, but there\u2019s nothing quite like resting. My skin care routine is relatively simple. I like clean, natural beauty, so I use products that deliver just that.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/unmixlove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hassanitem_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-473\" width=\"280\" height=\"167\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/unmixlove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hassanitem_02-725x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-474\" width=\"280\" height=\"398\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>I don\u2019t use cleansers, but I use a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stives.com\/\">St. Ives<\/a> exfoliant on my face at least 3 times a week.<\/p>\n<p>I moisturize my face straight out of the shower with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chanel.com\/us\/skincare\/p\/141030\/la-solution-10-de-chanel-sensitive-skin-cream\/\">La Solution De Chanel<\/a> and use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laroche-posay.us\/acne-and-oily-skin-care\/effaclar-duo-acne-spot-treatment-effaclarduoacnespottreatment.html\">La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo<\/a> on any imperfections that I catch.
