Naoko\u3000<\/strong>After cleansing my face, I use my long-time favorite, SHIGETA Paris\u2019s Precious Elixir Oil Serum <\/a>with gold, pomegranate, rosehip, and raspberry. My skin glows immediately after applying it. <\/p>\n\n\n

At one point, I was contemplating getting laser skin resurfacing to eliminate blemishes and dark spots, but the doctor told me I couldn\u2019t go out in the sun for three months, so I decided against it. The makeup that you\u2019ve done for me today looks so healthy and natural. I was afraid you wouldn\u2019t be able to cover all my age spots, but my skin looks absolutely radiant!<\/p>\n\n\n

Yasuo\u3000<\/strong>You do have some age spots, but your skin\u2019s surface is quite smooth. I applied makeup very sparingly\u2014just enough foundation to even out your skin tone without overdoing it. Skin should look supple and radiant and not like you\u2019re wearing a mask. Your age spots have turned into rather charming freckles!<\/p>\n

Naoko\u3000<\/strong>I\u2019ve always thought that oil is bad for your skin. <\/p>\n

Yasuo\u3000<\/strong>Well, if you\u2019re trying to achieve a more \u201cmatte\u201d look, then any excess shine will come off looking oily. Shiny T-zones are often the biggest issue. However, if you create a more all-over luminescent look, then you don\u2019t have to worry about oil as much. <\/p>\n

Naoko\u3000<\/strong>I get it. It\u2019s sort of like how shiny hair looks nice. <\/p>\n

Yasuo\u3000<\/strong>It\u2019s also very important to have shiny mascara\u2014eyelashes are hair too! You want them to be long and luminescent.<\/p>\n

Naoko\u3000<\/strong>Ah, you want to have that sparkle in your eyes. <\/p>\n

Yasuo\u3000<\/strong>Absolutely. Upon application, mascara has a certain sheen, but it loses it as it dries. I have not yet seen a mascara with the properties I\u2019m looking for, so I\u2019d love to create one myself. I also added a hint of black on your eyebrows today.   <\/p>\n

Naoko\u3000<\/strong>You didn\u2019t use that much eyeshadow, but it really made such an impact on my eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n

Yasuo\u3000<\/strong>Heavy makeup can look so tacky.  You\u2019re already so stylish, and have beautiful lips and eyebrows. A little bit of eye makeup can sharpen your entire look.   <\/p>\n
